YG Network Releases Two Ads Imploring Congress Against Raising Taxes on Small Businesses, Families

$250,000 Ad Campaign Focuses on Protecting Small Business From Obama/Reid/Pelosi Tax Hike

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The YG Network today released a six-figure  digital advertising buy urging Members of Congress not to raise taxes on small business men and women and hardworking families.  The issue advocacy advertisements, entitled, “Keep the Lights On,” and “Keep Fighting,” urge Congress to reject S. 3412, which would raise taxes on hundreds of thousands of small businesses and families across America.   The ads will run for at least a week.

You can watch the ads here:
Keep the Lights On:
Keep Fighting:

“Small business men and women work hard to build their businesses from the ground up, which helps everyone in their communities.  Their hard work is the backbone of the American economy and the foundation of the American dream,” said Brad Dayspring, Senior Advisor to the YG Network.  “President Obama himself said, ‘You don’t raise taxes in a recession,’ and we wholeheartedly agree.  It’s tough enough these days for small businesses to keep the lights on, which is why Congress should reject tax hikes which would make it even harder and destroy jobs for so many workers already struggling in this lagging economy.”

“Keep the Lights On” will run in the following districts:
Rep. Lois Capps (CA-23)
Rep. Louise Slaughter (NY-28)
Rep. John Tierney (MA-06)
Rep. David Cicilline (RI-01)
Rep. Kathy Hochul (NY-26)
Rep. John Garamendi (CA-10)
Rep. Nick Rahall (WV-03)

“Keep Fighting” will run in the following districts:
Rep. Frank Guinta (NH-01)
Rep. Robert Hurt (VA-05)
Rep. Kristi Noem (SD)
Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle (NY-25)
Rep. Nan Hayworth (NY-19)
Rep. Jon Runyan (NJ-03)
Rep. Diane Black (TN-06)

“Keep the Lights On” – SCRIPT

ANNOUNCER: Remember this?

PRESIDENT OBAMA (on tape): “…you don’t raise taxes in a recession…”

ANNOUNCER:  (voice over) Congressman John Garamendi doesn’t. Millions out of work – families struggling. But Garamendi voted against legislation that would have stopped a tax hike on people who build their small businesses and create jobs we need in California.

These days it’s hard enough for small business people to keep their lights on. Call Congressman Garamendi and tell him to reject S. 3412 –  the Obama / Reid / Pelosi Small Business Tax Hike.

“Keep Fighting “– Script

ANNOUNCER: (voice over) Liberals say “raise taxes on the rich”, but Reid’s Senate passed Obama’s tax hike…hurting so many small businesses – people who build their businesses and create thousands of jobs.

It doesn’t make sense.

PRESIDENT OBAMA (on tape): “…you don’t raise taxes in a recession…”

ANNOUNCER:  (voice over) Even he’s confused.

Liberals don’t understand how to create jobs and fix our economy.

We need Congressman Frank Guinta to keep fighting for small business – tell him to vote for jobs by rejecting s. 3412 –  the Obama / Reid / Pelosi tax hike.
