CRN_OBeirne

“Everyone knew Kate Walsh O’Beirne. She was one of the most attractive women I ever knew. Her personality was magnetic, but it was her kindness and genuine interest in people that set her apart in a self-serving town.”

– April Ponnuru, senior advisor at the Conservative Reform Network.

With great sadness, The Conservative Reform Network and others say farewell to a dear friend and colleague.

Kate O’Beirne was an advisor to the Conservative Reform Network on policy and issue advocacy efforts, focusing on special projects.

She was the former President of the non-profit National Review Institute, founded by William F. Buckley, Jr., and was National Review magazine’s Washington Editor. Kate spent ten years as a member of CNN’s Capital Gang, and was a frequent panelist on NBC’s Meet the Press.

Kate was previously Vice President of Government Relations for the Heritage Foundation, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislation at the Department of Health and Human Services under President Ronald Reagan, and served in other senior roles throughout her career.
